Artist, curator and activist byol lemoine describes their vision of Queer futurism.e as “an opportunity to explore the theme of Queer futurism.e with artists of different disciplines who are well-established in the Montréal art scene, who will contribute their reflections and artistic interpretations to the subject.

My curiosity, which is not limited to my intersectional community, will allow, I hope, will enable diverse publics to meet one another and to facilitate rewarding dialogue.”

Diane Obomsawin is a Quebec cartoonist and filmmaker of Abenaki origin. Her youth took place in France, where she learned the trade of graphic designer. At 24, she returned to Quebec where she studied animation at Concordia University. Since then, she has distinguished herself among other things as an author and illustrator of comics under the pen name, Obom. At the same time, she signs many animated short films around contemporary social issues including sexual identity. His half-animal, half-human characters offer him the necessary distance to address the questions that inhabit him. His films, screened in numerous festivals in Canada and abroad, have won several international awards. As part of Manif d’art 6, the current art biennial in Quebec City, Obomsawin is presenting a first video installation, exposing the public to a story unfolding simultaneously on three screens. Often imbued with a biting humour, his visually minimalist works take a fresh and thoughtful look at the society around us. She signs the visual of the 2021-2022 edition of Lumière sur l'art, a journey that unfolds on Avenue Cartier, between Chemin Sainte-Foy and Grande Allée.

Kamissa Ma Koïta is a Canadian-Malian artist and activist. Native of Quebec and having grown up in Montreal, she holds a bachelor's degree in visual and media arts from the University of Quebec in Montreal (2015).

Kaïta draws on indigenous West African knowledge and the restorative and empowering power of re-enactments, their performance work has been shown at Dare-Dare (2018), Galerie de l’UQAM (2018) and VIVA! Art Action (2019). Koïta has also presented their work in several galleries and museums, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (2018), the Center Never Apart (2019) and the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec (2021).

In 2021, they was invited as a mentor for the RIPA performance art biennial and a participant in the Trajectoires series at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In 2019, they began a collaboration with PME-ART and co-created Vulnerable Paradoxes (2020) and Responding to Vulnerable Paradoxes (2021).

This collaboration will continue with the research project Political Emotions

Anne-F Jacques creates unique sound objects from small motors, found objects and other discarded parts, and she uses contact microphones and tiny amplification setups to produce truly fascinating textures and unexpected rhythms. She uses on low-tech, trivial and raw sounds. She regularly creates installations, performances and ephemeral interventions and gives  workshops on

Anne-F Jacques is a sound artist based in Montreal, Canada. She is interested in amplification, erratic devices and oblique interactions between materials with the construction of various contraptions and idiosyncratic systems.

Her particular focus is on deviant technology, trivial and unpolished sounds. She regularly realizes installations, performances and ephemeral interventions. She has worked amongst others with Tsonami Festival (Chile), Experimental Intermedia (New York), Ftarri (Tokyo), CTM (Berlin), Umbral (Mexico), Centrale for Contemporary Arts (Brussels), High Zero (Baltimore) and MEM (Bilbao).

Recent/ongoing collaborations: a.hop, Ryoko Akama, claire rousay, Gabriel Drolet, Julie Doucet, qbbq. also involved with the experimental music label presses précaires.
